Disability Driving Assessments
Our disability driving program is designed for drivers with medical, developmental, neurological, sensory, or physical conditions who need an individualized evaluation of driving ability. The goal is to identify strengths, limitations, and the safest path forward for each driver.
Each assessment includes both a clinical evaluation and an on-road assessment. Depending on the condition, recommendations may include adaptive equipment, additional training, condition-specific planning, or guidance on whether driving remains appropriate.

We offer condition-specific information for ADHD/ADD, autism, amputation, arthritis, bioptics, cerebral palsy, deafness, multiple sclerosis, spina bifida, spinal cord injury, stroke, and traumatic brain injury. Review the fact sheets below to learn more about each program.
To register, please use online enrollment and also call 440-449-3300 to speak with a specialist about the driver’s needs, whether adaptive strategies may help, and which program is the best fit.
Whenever you seek a disability driving evaluation, make sure the person performing the assessment is a Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialist (CDRS). A CDRS has advanced training in driver rehabilitation and is certified by The Association for Driver Rehabilitation Specialist, an international organization that sets the standards for driver rehabilitation.
If you have questions about diagnosis-specific evaluations, adaptive driving concerns, or next steps after an injury or medical event, contact us and we will help you understand the available options. Call us or download the program brochure.
